Amy joined John R. Waters & Company in 2008, where she provides tax and accounting services for small to mid-size organizations, trusts, family entities, and individuals.  Prior to joining our firm, she worked with a large Midwest auto dealer as the assistant office manager at their corporate headquarters.    

Amy has experience in the preparation of tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and individuals.  She supervises the preparation of payroll tax returns for small businesses and household employees.  Amy assists clients with their year end tax planning as well as helping them maintain compliance with various federal, state, and local agencies.    

In addition to tax services, Amy works both in teams of her peers and independently to perform various assurance services such as audits, reviews, and compilations. For many of our clients, she also composes quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports. Amy provides bookkeeping and maintains accounting records for a variety of entities.  She works with organizations in manufacturing, retail, auto sales, management consulting, commodity trading, and various other industries. Amy has also worked with not-for-profit and other exempt entities. 

Amy's societal memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.

Amy received her Associate Degree in Science from McHenry County College in 2002 and her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Purdue University in 2007.  She is currently working towards her CPA.
